Reeves Miller Autos

Terms & conditions

Last updated: 9 October 2026

These general terms explain how car rental enquiries and rentals with Reeves Miller Autos work. Read them alongside the specific quote and rental agreement we provide before you book. Your agreed rental details set out the vehicle, dates, price and applicable requirements.

1. Enquiries and bookings

Sending a website enquiry does not reserve a vehicle or confirm a booking. Availability and the vehicle specification will be confirmed with you. A booking is confirmed when we accept it in writing after you agree to the rental terms and meet any payment requirements explained beforehand.

2. Drivers and documents

All drivers must hold a valid licence for the vehicle and meet the age, licence-history and insurance requirements we explain before booking. We may require identification and licence checks. Only drivers approved in the rental agreement may drive. Tell us about any relevant endorsements, disqualifications or restrictions.

3. Prices, payments and deposits

Your quote will identify the rental price, applicable taxes, payment dates, mileage allowance and any additional charges. If a security deposit is required, we will explain its amount, how it is held, permitted deductions and release arrangements before you book. Optional extras require your agreement. We will explain and provide evidence for any proposed deduction.

4. Changes and cancellations

Contact us as soon as possible to request a change or cancellation. The cancellation, no-show and refund conditions for your rental will be supplied before booking. Any cancellation charge must be fair and reflect our actual loss, taking account of costs saved or the vehicle being rented to someone else. If we cannot provide the agreed rental, we will discuss a suitable alternative or refund the affected service, without limiting your legal rights.

5. Collection and vehicle condition

Inspect the vehicle with us at collection and record existing damage, fuel or charge level, mileage and supplied equipment. Report anything missing or incorrect before driving away. We will provide a roadworthy vehicle suitable for the agreed rental.

6. Using the vehicle

Drive lawfully and take reasonable care of the vehicle, keys and equipment. Do not drive while impaired, use the vehicle for racing or illegal activity, overload it, or allow unauthorised drivers to use it. Obtain our written agreement before taking it abroad, towing, sub-hiring it or using it for paid passenger or delivery work. Follow the agreed mileage and geographical limits.

7. Insurance, damage and breakdowns

We will explain the insurance arrangements, excess, exclusions and any optional protection before booking. Your responsibility for loss or damage depends on the rental agreement, applicable cover and law; you are not responsible for pre-existing damage or fair wear and tear. Report accidents, theft, damage or breakdowns promptly, and contact emergency services where necessary. Do not continue driving an unsafe vehicle. Agree repairs with us first unless immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety.

8. Returns, fuel and road charges

Return the vehicle, keys and equipment to the agreed place and at the agreed time, meeting the fuel or charging arrangements stated in your agreement. Contact us if you are delayed or need an extension. Extra rental, mileage, fuel or cleaning charges apply only as fairly explained and agreed beforehand. You are responsible for parking, tolls and other road charges properly attributable to your rental, and penalties for which you are legally liable. Any administration fee must have been disclosed before booking.

9. Your rights and our responsibility

Nothing in these terms removes your statutory consumer rights or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. We remain responsible for providing our services with reasonable care and skill. Later changes to this page do not retrospectively change an existing booking.

10. Personal information and contact

See our information and email preferences notice for how we handle enquiries and marketing choices. For questions or complaints, contact us with your booking reference, relevant dates and details of the issue so we can investigate.
